Thrift store shopping for some more cycling duds

Part of the plan of this trip was also to hit some thrift stores in search of more neon shirts to expand our dorky ...... uh, high visibility wardrobe like all smart cyclists wear.  :)  So, after our amazing supper at Chevy's Fresh Mex, we told that nice lady who lives in the Google Map app on the Iphone to take us to some nearby thrift stores. Store #1:  Strike out. Store #2: A $2 non-neon-attire related purchase.  But Store #3 (which we entered 15 minutes before closing time) was a score. As the store closed, we left $12 with the cashier and walked out with, count them, seven (7) new to us neon duds that just fairly scream "CAN YOU SEE ME NOW?"  :)  The piece de resistance was the never-worn almost electric neon yellow sweatshirt that was in his size.  In addition to that, it has wide reflective tape on it, as evidence in the picture.  The hilarious part.  The back is prominently printed with the "Waste Management" logo.  So then we theorized that some guy got canned before he even got to wear his new neon work uniform.  Well, it serves the purpose we were looking for.  He is now good to go for cold weather cycling. I am probably just going to have to get a reflective vest to wear over my coat, because I gotta be warm.

If your driving along this fall or winter and your suddenly blinded by a person riding by on his bicycle...  I apologize in advance..  That will be me sporting my as I refer to it..  "CAN YOU SEE AT ALL AFTER SEEING ME!" Sweatshirt!  Its quite bright and brought to you by the Waste Management Corporation and the TSA!
