16.5 mile Memorial Day weekend ride on parts of the Clear Creek and Gary L. Haller Trails in surburban KC.

We passed multiple baseball complexes on our ride, and every single field was full. As much as I do like baseball, this is us being glad to be empty nest parents who can go on bike rides on long holiday weekends! :)

Manhattan Linear Trail -- Manhattan, KS

It was K-State graduation for one of our kids this weekend, so we got a short ride in on the western part of the trail that we hadn't ridden last fall (that blog post here). The highlight of this ride was the guy walking down the trail wearing......... a full suit of armor (yes, you read that correctly.) You have no idea how *desperately* I wanted to ask to take his picture but his facial expression seemed to suggest I probably shouldn't. It was surreal.
